## What This Is
The Maraventano Index measures what is actually happening in the x402 agent-commerce ecosystem from the one seat no crawler can occupy — the receiving end of 500,000+ payment challenges. Every endpoint delivers a signed, dated, verifiable attestation of observed facts.

The Index exists because the agent economy will only be as useful as the trust layer under it. Agents that transact need machine-readable, cite-able, signed intelligence about who they're transacting with. Humans claiming large numbers about agent commerce need an independent measurement to cite against. The Index provides both.

## How To Verify
Every Index attestation is Ed25519-signed. Public key embedded in every response under `verify.public_key_pem`. Signature verification steps included inline. Canonical JSON reference provided.

### The Reports — the full record, bundled and signed
The two flagship deliverables. Each is a single bundle: the report (PDF), the observational dataset behind it (File 1, newline-delimited JSON, one record per observed request), an Ed25519-signed integrity manifest, the on-chain settlement appendix, a data dictionary, and a README.
